CHINA: GANGSTER SENTENCED TO DEATH

On the afternoon of 28 December 2018 the Intermediate Peoples Court of Huaian City made a first instance judgment on a case of anti-gangster and anti-evil which was listed and supervised by Jiangsu Province. The principal offender Nie Mou-mou was sentenced to death.
Modern Express reporters learned that Nie Momou once held the post of village director in a village of Wang Ying Town, Huaiyin District.
During this period, Nie Momou organized and led underworld organizations, opened casinos and used illegally held guns to cause death in the course of fighting, which had a very bad impact.
It is understood that in a group fight in mid-December last year, Nie Mou-mou and others shot Zhou Mou-mou with guns. After the case, Nie Mou was arrested.
Subsequently, the Huaian Peoples Procuratorate prosecuted 15 people, including Nie Mou-mou, on suspicion of organizing, leading, participating in underworld-like organizations, gathering and fighting, intentional homicide, provoking trouble, opening a casino, illegal possession of firearms, helping to destroy evidence and obstructing testimony.
