IRAN. MAN PUBLICLY HANGED FOR MURDER OF POLICEMAN

A public hanging in Iran

15 July 2005 :

Ali Safarpour, a 20 year old Iranian man convicted of killing police officer Hamid Enshadi, was hanged in public in Poldokhtar in the western province of Lorestan. He was only 16 at the time of the alleged offences and had been imprisoned since 2001.
