According to the Iranian state TV news, a man, identified only as N.A., has been executed in the central prison of Shahrekord, the capital city of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. The exact date of the execution has not been mentioned in the news piece. IHR reported the news on June 8. The man was sentenced to qisas (retribution) for murder charges. Shahrekord prosecutor told the Young Journalists Club, “The prisoner, N.A, was from the city of Lordegan and sentenced to death around three years ago.”
