Payam Nouri (Nowrozi) executed in Ardabil on July 31
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was executed in Ardabil Central Prison on July 31. His identity has been established as 28-year-old Payam Nouri, an Ardabil native who was sentenced to death for rape charges. A source told Iran Human Rights: “Nouri was arrested in 2015, and was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for his execution from Ward 3 of Ardabil Central Prison.
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by media in Iran.
