JORDAN. THREE MEN CONVICTED OF MURDER HANGED ON SAME DAY

according to “Jordan Times”, three men, convicted of murdering three people in three separate incidents, were executed at dawn at Swaqa correctional and rehabilitation center on June 14. Ahmad Abed, 20, was convicted in March 2004 of robbing, murdering then sexually assaulting a 40-year-old German woman in Aqaba in September 2002. The second person put to death was Khalid Hussein, 37, who was convicted of murdering a seven-year-old child in Zarqa in April 2002. Hussein, who worked as a night guard, informed the execution committee minutes before being escorted to the gallows that he wished to donate his organs, according to an official who attended the execution. The third man was identified as Ibrahim Mohammad, 23, executed for killing a man in 2000 in the city of Aqaba in southern Jordan.
