'We thank the Brazilian Government of President Lula for its decision to be a co-sponsor of the resolution for the Moratorium on capital punishment that the EU intends to present at the opening of the UN General Assembly in September.’ The Italian Foreign Minister, Massimo D'Alema, announced this during a seminar in Brussels on ‘Europe and Brazil: the frontier of the future’, in which the Brazilian President also participated.
