PAKISTAN. FOUR BROTHERS HANGED FOR KILLING 13

18 April 2007 :

four brothers were hanged in Multan, Pakistan, for murdering thirteen relatives over a land dispute in 1999, police said.
The men – Khuda Bukhsh, Mohammad Akram, Mohammad Iqbal and Mohammad Asghar – were executed at the Multan central prison. A court sentenced the four a year later but the father died in custody before the conviction.
“All of their appeals were rejected as there was solid evidence against them and also nobody was left in the deceased family to pardon them,” Officer Khan said, adding that President Pervez Musharraf had also rejected their plea for clemency.
