Judge Lansing Haynes formally sentenced Jonathan Renfro, 29, White, to death for the May 5, 2015 murder of police sergeant Greg Moore. The verdict was the first death sentence imposed in Idaho since 2010. The state of Idaho has not carried out a death penalty sentence since 2012 and currently has seven people on death row. Three inmates have been executed since 1957.
