IRAN: HANDS OFF CAIN, THE HANGING OF THE PROTESTER MOSTAFA SALEHI IS A SHAME FOR THE SO-CALLED DEMOCRATIC WORLD

Hands Off Cain considers the execution by hanging of Mostafa Salehi, one of the detainees for the anti-regime demonstrations that took place between December 2017 and January 2018, which took place yesterday in the Dastgerd prison in Isfahan, extremely serious. The association asks the United Nations to condemn the incident and to conduct a visit to Iranian prisons.
Salehi, 30, had been arrested in Isfahan, Kahrizsang, and sentenced to death for leading the riots in Najafabad. 
“His hanging yesterday is an act of intimidation against anyone who wants to express their dissent towards the regime. An increasingly aggressive regime outward and inward that precisely for this reason requires a containment that can come from the United Nations through an investigation of what is happening in the Iranian penitentiaries. The international community cannot remain indifferent to facts such as the execution of Salehi, just as the truth about the massacre of 30,000 political opponents carried out in 1988 must emerge.  
Physical suppression of dissidents is a story that has been repeated and has lasted for some time. It must shame us for not having yet wanted to face it, we so-called democratic countries that are compliant with the Mullahs' regime”.
