In Bangladesh, a Patuakhali district court sentenced a man to death for killing his wife in Galachipa upazila of the district. The convict is identified as Jahirul Islam, 45.The court also sentenced Jahirul's brother Md Jafar to life term imprisonment in this connection.
According to case statement Jahirul and Jafar beaten to death Happy on April 8, 2008.
