On the morning of 8 July 2019 the Intermediate Peoples Court of Luan City, Anhui Province, publicly sentenced Wang Yunli to death for intentional homicide, depriving him of political rights for life; confiscating a single-edged tool; compensating the plaintiff of incidental civil action for economic losses of RMB 3. Thirteen thousand nine hundred sixty-three dollars and fifty-three cents.
After trial, it was found that Xu Chuanbao (44 years old) of Xiadian Police Station, Huoqiu County Public Security Bureau, went to Bian Laozhuang Village, Xiadian Town, at 20 o clock on 28 September 2018 to deal with the police. In the process of policing, the drunk defendant Wang Yunli entangled Xu Chuanbao and wiped blood on his uniform. When Xu Chuanbao dialed the phone to give feedback on the scene and seek support, Wang Yunli suddenly stabbed Xu Chuanbao with a sharp knife in his chest and abdomen. Xu Chuanbao was sent to the hospital and eventually rescued his invalid death.
The Intermediate Peoples Court of Luan City in Anhui Province held that the defendant Wang Yunli refused to cooperate with the police, interfered with and obstructed the law enforcement, stabbed the law enforcement police with a knife, and caused his death.
