15 June 2007 :
today the committee on Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies unanimously approved a resolution presented by Sergio D'Elia which “with renewed confidence and reminding them of the task they were given, invites the Government to proceed with the highest degree of urgency and with no further delays in presenting the Resolution for the moratorium to the current General Assembly. It is not acceptable that, after a decade of ostracisms, once again the United Nations are prevented (in the guise of an “adjournment”) from voting the resolution and thus manifesting what is unarguably a majoritarian position in favour of the moratorium”.
