IRAN: 18 PRISONERS EXECUTED FOR DRUG RELATED CRIMES

18 prisoners have been hanged in Iran in the last days for drug related crimes.
Seven prisoners were hanged in Shiraz on June 6.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), these seven prisoners had been transferred from Pirniya prison to solitary confinements in Adelabad prison on June 5.
The identity of these prisoners is unknown for HRANA and official authorities have not publicized any information regarding these executions.
According to reports by reliable sources, 11 prisoners were hanged on June 8 in the Ghezelhesar prison of Karaj (west of Tehran) early in the morning.
On June 6, IHR reported about the transfer of 25 prisoners to the quarantine of the Ghezelhesar prison for execution. 
The number increased to 47 as IHR received reports about the transfer of additional 22 prisoners from Rajai Shahr and Greater Tehran Central prison to Gehzelhesar for execution. 
The remaining prisoners are being held in the quarantine ward of the prison and their executions can be implemented in the coming hours or days.
One of the prisoners who was hanged on June 8 is identified as “Mahmood Samimi”.
