November 28, 2024 - IRAN. 3 men, 1 of them a minor, executed in Yazd on November 28
Ismail Barakzai, a minor, Davood Mohammadi Takht-Shah (Takhtshah), Osman Dahmardeh (Dahmarde)
According to a report received by Hengaw, at dawn on November 28, 2024, the death sentence of Ismail Barakzai, now 18, originally from Farah Province in Afghanistan and residing in Yazd, was carried out in Yazd Central Prison.
As reported by the Haalvsh news outlet, Barakzai was arrested last year following an altercation in which he was accused of murdering a young man in Meybod, Yazd.
Barakzai was only 17 years old at the time of the incident. His execution followed shortly after his arrest.
Hengaw had previously reported the execution of two other Baloch prisoners, Davood Mohammadi Takht-Shah (also known as Dahmardeh), 33, and Osman Dahmardeh, 26, both residents of Zahedan, on the same day in Yazd Central Prison. They had been convicted of drug-related charges and sentenced to death.
As of this report, the executions of these prisoners have not been publicly announced by state-affiliated media.
