August 31, 2025 - IRAN. 3 men executed in Urmia on August 31

Javad Ali, Rahman Javan, and Morteza Zichi (Morteza Zeiji)

According to HRANA, three Turkish prisoners were executed at dawn on August 31. HRANA identified them as Javad Ali, Rahman Javan (right photo), 35, and Morteza Zichi (left photo), 35, all residents of Urmia, and all sentenced on murder charges in separate cases.

On August 30, the three prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions. Another prisoner was also moved to solitary for execution but was returned to the general ward after the victim’s family granted consent and forgave him.

As of the time of this report, the executions of these three prisoners have not been announced by authorities.
