May 21, 2025 - IRAN. 3 men executed in Zanjan on May 21

Ali Moharami, Kavous Golshan and Mohsen Hesari.

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, three men were hanged in Zanjan Central Prison on 21 May 2025. Two of the men who were on death row for drug-related offences, have been identified as 40-year-old Ali Moharami from Zanjan and 35-year-old Kavous Golashan from Ahar. They were arrested in separate cases three years ago.

The third man’s identity has been established as Mohsen Hesari who was arrested five years ago for murder.

At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
