May 19, 2024 - IRAN. 4 men executed in Shiraz on May 19
Mojtaba Jouyandeh (Pouyande), Mostafa Aghaei (Aghayi), Nader Ghorbani + unidentified Afghan
According to the report received by Hengaw, at dawn on Sunday, May 19, 2024, the death sentence of Mojtaba Jouyandeh, 40, Mostafa Aghaei, 35, Nader Ghorbani, 28, and an unidentified Afghan prisoner was executed in Shiraz Central Prison (Adel Abad).
According to Iran Human Rights Organization, Mojtaba Jouyandeh and Mostafa Aghaei were arrested on charges of murder, and Nader Ghorbani and the Afghan prisoner were arrested on charges related to drug crimes. All four men were on death row for 3-4 years and had been transferred to Shiraz Central Prison for execution from Pirbanu Prison. The news of the execution of these four prisoners has not been announced in the government media.
