Mohammad Moini was hanged on charge of murder in the central prison of Zahedan, Iran, reported the Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA).
A Sylhet court on May 6, 2025 sentenced three individuals, including the son of the victim, to death for the brutal 2011 murder of veteran lawyer Shamsul Islam Chowdhury. Another accused in the case received a three-year prison sentence.
