Abbas Ali Hosseini executed at Zanjan Central Prison on January 27.
According to Iran Human Rights, a male prisoner was executed at Zanjan Central Prison on the morning of January 27. The prisoner whose identity has been established as Abhar native, Abbas Ali Hosseini, had been sentenced for murder. An informed source told IHR: “Abbas Ali Hosseini had been in prison since 2018 and had been unsuccessful in obtaining consent from his victim’s family during that period and was executed on Wednesday morning.” At the time of writing, Abbas Ali Hosseini’s execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
