Iran hanged an Afghan national convicted of murdering a woman in a prison in the central city of Isfahan, the Fars news agency reported.
The 35 year old man identified only as Reza A stabbed the woman 47 times in the May 2006 attack. He worked as a janitor in the building where the victim was a doctor's secretary.
He allegedly confessed to the premeditated murder of the woman, Manijeh, 50, whom he had known for 14 years but with whom he had a financial dispute.
