May 17, 2025 - IRAN. Behrooz Fathollahi executed in Ilam on May 17
The death sentence of Behrooz Fathollahi, a Kurdish prisoner from Ilam, was carried out in the city’s Central Prison. According to information received by Hengaw, the execution took place on May 17, 2025.
Sources familiar with the case reported that Fathollahi was arrested approximately five years ago on charges of murder.
The execution has not been officially announced by state media.
