May 13, 2026 - IRAN. Eghbal Arghandeh executed in Karaj on May 13

According to information obtained by the Hengaw, Iranian authorities have executed a prisoner identified as Eghbal Arghandeh, 30. The execution was carried out at dawn on May 13, 2026, in Karaj Central Prison.

Sources told Hengaw that Arghandeh had been arrested approximately six years ago in connection with a fatal street altercation.

Iranian state media have not officially announced the execution.
