March 16, 2025 - IRAN. Faramarz Keyfari and Kourosh Zare executed in Rasht
On February 25 and March 16
According to reports Hengaw received on March 22, at dawn on March 16, 2025, Kourosh Zare, 36, a father of two, was executed at Lakan Prison.
Sources familiar with the case stated that Zare had been arrested three years ago on drug-related charges.
Earlier, at dawn on February 25, 2025, the execution of Faramarz Keyfari, a Kurdish prisoner from Kangavar, was also carried out at the same prison. Keyfari had likewise been sentenced to death on charges related to narcotics.
As of the time of this report, the executions of these two prisoners have not been announced by state media.
