Farhad Najafi and Ali Ahmadi have been executed in Maragheh Prison. According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were executed in Maragheh Prison on the morning of July 5. Their identities have been established as 25-year-old Farhad Najafi and 23-year-old Ali Ahmadi and were arrested around three years ago. Hrana news agency which first broke the news reported that they had been sentenced to death for the rape of a man. A very similar news was reported in recent days by the Javanehha.com website, which on the same day and in the same prison reported the execution of two unidentified men, aged 23 and 25, accused of sexual acts with a married woman. IHR seems to supplement that news by identifying the names, and partially modifying the charge, but leaving it within the scope of sexual offenses. At the time of writing, neither of their executions have been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
