September 11, 2025 - IRAN. Hadigheh Abadi and Younes Mazarshams executed in Qazvin on September 11

According to information obtained by Hengaw, the executions took place at dawn on September 11, 2025 in Qazvin Central Prison (Choubindar).

Abadi and Mazarshams, both 46, were originally from Herat, Afghanistan, and had lived in Taleqan, Karaj, for two decades. Sources said the couple were arrested four years ago in connection with a drug case.

Abadi and Mazarshams were detained along with their three children, who were transferred to Afghanistan several months after their parents’ arrest.

State media have not reported the executions.

According to data compiled by the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (WNCRI), Hadiqeh Abadi becomes the 34th woman executed in Iran in 2025, and the 297th executed in Iran since 2007.
