Hassan Teyran executed in Urmia on February 14
Iran executed today Hassan Teyran, a prisoner charged with “premeditated murder”, at Orumiyeh (Urmia) Central Prison.
On 14 February, the prisoner was transferred to solitary confinement along with another death row prisoner, Afshin Amin-Khani.
Amin-Khani’s execution was halted after the consent of the victim’s family was obtained.
Teyran, 43, and Amin-Khani, 30, were arrested in 2020 and 2021, respectively, on charges of murder.
