May 28, 2025 - IRAN. Iman Assadollahi and Abbas Jan Mohammadi, also executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison on May 28.

They were executed in a group hanging.

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, two men were hanged in Ghezelhesar Prison on 28 May 2025. Their identities have been established as Iman Assadollahi from Gorgan and 25-year-old Abbas Jan Mohammadi (photo) from Lahijan. They were sentenced for murder in separate cases. Iman was arrested five years ago and Abbas was arrested for a murder during an altercation four years ago.

At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
