May 21, 2025 - IRAN. Jahanshah Afshari and Aleem Barahoee executed in Ghezel Hesar on May 21

According to information received by Hengaw, the executions of Jahanshah Afshari, a resident of Tehran, and Aleem Barahoee, a 67-year-old from Zahedan, were carried out at dawn on May 21, 2025. Afshari had been convicted of murder, while Barahoee was sentenced to death for narcotics-related crimes.
No official statements or media coverage of these executions have been released by Iranian state media.
