According to information received by Hengaw, the execution of Khodarahim Popalzei, a Baloch man from Qala-e-Kah in Farah Province, Afghanistan, was carried out at dawn on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Reports from the Haalvsh News Outlet state that Khodarahim Popalzei had been arrested in Bandar Abbas two years ago on drug-related charges.
Popalzei was transferred to solitary confinement two days before his execution. The sentence was carried out without prior notification to his family and without granting him the opportunity for a final meeting.
The news of the execution, involving Popalzei, a father of seven, has not yet been reported by state-affiliated media at the time of this publication.
