November 21, 2024 - IRAN. Majid Jafari executed in Shahrekord on November 21
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man executed in Shahrekord Central Prison (Shahr-e Kord, Shahr-e-Kurd) (in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province) on 21 November. His identity has been established as 38-year-old Majid Jafari from Shahre Kord. He was arrested three years ago and sentenced to death for drug-related offences.
A source told IHR: “Majid was arrested with his friend for carrying drugs around 5 km from Shahre Kord. His friend blamed him for everything and received a prison sentence.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
