Iran hanged a man convicted of drug trafficking in the central city of Isfahan, government newspaper Iran reported. The man executed in prison was identified as Hassan R., 33, convicted of selling heroin.
The Shubra El Kheima Criminal Court has sentenced the defendant in the killing of Mirna Gamal Abdel Tawab—widely known in the media as the “Khosous Girl” - to death by hanging, The Gulf reported on April 26, 2026.
