Iran hanged a man in a prison in the southeastern city of Zahedan after convicting him of rape, the Fars news agency reported. The report identified the man sent to the gallows as Jamshid Mir.(Sources: Afp, 27/05/2010)

Iran hanged a man in a prison in the southeastern city of Zahedan after convicting him of rape, the Fars news agency reported. The report identified the man sent to the gallows as Jamshid Mir.
The fact that two death row inmates died last year has been revealed belatedly. They died due to advanced age and illness while being in a state where capital punishment was not carried out for a long time.
