Iran hanged a man in a prison in the southeastern city of Zahedan after convicting him of rape, the Fars news agency reported. The report identified the man sent to the gallows as Jamshid Mir.
The Bauchi State High Courts have disposed of 51 criminal cases, resulting in the conviction of 64 offenders for various offences, including armed robbery, rape, kidnapping, conspiracy, culpable homicide and fraud.
