July 27, 2025 - IRAN. Masoumeh Asgari, Masoumeh Nassaji, and Sayeh Seydal, three female political prisoners previously held at Evin Prison, have been transferred to solitary confinement in Qarchak Prison as a punitive measure after protesting their detention conditions.
According to information received by Hengaw, on the evening of July 27, 2025, the three women were moved to solitary confinement in Qarchak Prison, where they remain held.
Currently, female political prisoners in Qarchak are being held in overcrowded, poorly ventilated cells. Reports also indicate inadequate hygiene, unsanitary conditions, and insufficient food and medical care.
The situation has become increasingly alarming, with multiple reports citing food shortages, inmates forced to sleep on the floor, and limited access to clean drinking water, sanitary supplies, and medical services.
It is worth noting that on June 23, 2025, following an Israeli airstrike on Evin Prison, approximately 70 female political prisoners were transferred from Evin to Qarchak Prison in Varamin.
