June 16, 2025 - IRAN. Mehdi Davoudi and Houshang Morovati executed in Yasui on June 16
Accordinfg to information Hengaw received on June 30, the execution of two Lor prisoners was carried out at Yasuj Central Prison on June 16. They were identified as Mehdi Davoudi, 31, and Houshang Morovati, 32. Davoudi had been sentenced to death for murder following a street altercation, and Morovati had been convicted of rape. Both had been in custody for three years prior to their executions.
These executions have been officially acknowledged by state media in Iran.
