January 30, 2025 - IRAN. Mehdi Salehzadeh and Abdollah Khademi executed in Isfahan on January 30
The death sentences of Mehdi Salehzadeh, a Gilak prisoner, and Abdollah Khademi, a Turk prisoner, were secretly carried out in Isfahan Central Prison. Their executions took place without prior notice or the opportunity for a final visists with their families.
According to a report received by Hengaw, at dawn on January 30, 2025, Mehdi Salehzadeh, 35, from Rasht, and Abdollah Khademi, 41, from Urmia and a resident of Tabriz, were executed in Central Prison in Isfahan. Khademi was a father of three children.
Sources report that these two prisoners had been arrested on separate drug-related charges.
As of the time of this report, the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced by state media.
