April 23, 2025 - IRAN. Mehran Zolfi and Asghar Nourinia executed in Tabriz on April 23
According to a report received by Hengaw, at dawn on April 23, 2025, two Turkish prisoners, Mehran Zolfi, 27, from Tabriz, and Asghar Nourinia, 35, from Jolfa, were executed in Tabriz Central Prison. Asghar Nourinia was arrested five years ago and Mehran Zolfi four years ago, in separate cases involving drug-related charges.
As of the time this report was published, the news of these executions has not been announced by state media.
