August 31, 2014 - IRAN. Mohammadreza Abbaszade executed in Zanjan on August 31
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was executed in Zanjan Central Prison on 31st August. His identity has been established as 30-year-old Mohammadreza Abbaszadeh who was sentenced to death for drug-related offences.
A source told IHR: “Mohammadreza Abbaszadeh was a car mechanic prior to arrest two years ago.” At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
