According to a report received on November 25 by Hengaw, at dawn on Saturday, November 23, 2024, the execution of Nasser Ghabel Salmani, a 67-year-old individual from Tabriz, took place in Jiroft Central Prison. Sources revealed that the prisoner had been arrested four years ago on drug-related charges.
Hengaw had earlier reported the execution of another prisoner, Nader Ghani-Zadeh, at the same prison on charges of murder. As of the time of this report, the executions of these two prisoners have not been announced by state-affiliated media.
