According to Iran Human Rights, a prisoner was executed on 1 September 2020 in Ardabil Central Prison. His identity has been established as 40year old Ardabil native Alireza Samadi, who had been in prison for 8 years. An informed source told IHR: "Alireza Samadi was sentenced to death for the murder of his father.”
At the time of publication, the execution of Alireza Samadi has not been announced by domestic media or official sources in Iran.
