According to information received by Hengaw, at dawn on September 7, 2025, Bahmani and Salemi, both from Tabriz, were executed in Tabriz Central Prison. Bahmani had been arrested four years ago on drug-related charges, and Salemi six years ago on similar charges.

Hengaw had earlier reported that on the same day, five Kurdish prisoners— Keyvan Mamadi, Najib Azarm, Towfigh Ne’mati, Houshang Hanareh, and Babak Omarzadeh, were executed in the same prison.

Mamadi and Azarm had been convicted on drug-related charges, while Omarzadeh, Hanareh, and Ne’mati were arrested four years ago in a joint case, also on drug-related charges. All six prisoners had been transferred to solitary confinement on Friday in preparation for their executions.

Hengaw has confirmed that the executions of these seven prisoners were carried out without allowing them a final visit with their families. Relatives were only notified after the executions had taken place.

Iranian state media have not published news of these executions.
