July 28, 2025 - IRAN. Sadeghollah Verdi (Sadegh Allahverdi) executed in Tabriz on July 28

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Tabriz Central Prison on 28 July 2025. His identity has been established as Sadeghollah Verdi, a 52-year-old Turkish man from Tabriz. He was arrested four years ago on drug-related charges.

At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
