August 18, 2025 - IRAN. Saman Ghasemi executed in Amol on August 18

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Amol Prison on 18 August 2025. His identity has been established as 25-year-old Saman Ghasemi, a Gilak man from Amol.

He was arrested around four years ago and sentenced for murder.

At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
