Sattar Arghandeh executed in Ilam on June 8.
The death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner from Malekshahi, identified as Sattar Arghandeh, was carried out on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in Ilam Central Prison, whereas he was sentenced to death only on the basis of the Judge’s personal knowledge. According to a report received by Hengaw, Sattar Arghandeh was arrested by security forces two years ago on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is worth mentioning that Sattar Arghandeh is married, has two children, and has not confessed to the murder in the last two years. There is no evidence that proves he has committed the murder, and he has been sentenced to death only on the basis of "the Judge's personal knowledge".
