Seyyed Vahid Tabataba’I executed in Gohardasht Prison on March 2.
The human rights center of “No to Prison- No to Execution” quoted Iran Human Rights Organization that another inmate, Seyyed Vahid Tabatabaei has been executed on charge of murder in Gohardasht Prison on Wednesday, March 2. Seyyed Vahid Tabataba’i, 39, was from Pishva, Varamin, and was sentenced to death on murder charges. According to the report, quoting an informed source, “Vahid Tabataba’i was arrested seven years ago on murder charges. On Tuesday, when he was transferred to solitary confinement for execution, the victim’s family was supposed to consent on the same day for his pardon. They waited until 6:30 a.m., but they did not consent, and the sentence was carried out.” It is worth noting that on Wednesday, known as “Black Wednesday in Gohardasht”, another prisoner, Vahid Mousavi, was executed in the same prison.
