Sirous (Siros) Gholami executed in Gorgan on February 12
According to information obtained by IHR, a man was executed in Gorgan Central Prison on February 12. His identity has been established as Sirous Gholami who was arrested in 2019 and sentenced to death for murder.
A source told IHR: “Sirous had committed the murder over financial disputes. He was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for his execution on Wednesday afternoon and was waiting for the murdered person’s family to consent to him not being executed, but they refused.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
