February 2, 2026 - IRAN. The killing of Fatemeh Nasiri and Zahra Jafari
Fatemeh Nasiri and her niece, Zahra Jafari, two Lor women from Vanak, in Isfahan Province, were shot and killed by government forces during protests in Baharestan, Isfahan.
Informed sources told Hengaw that the two were killed on January 9, 2026, while participating in the protests. Nasiri was married and the mother of two children.
The sources added that their bodies were returned to the families after several days of follow-up and were subsequently buried.
The families of the two victims continue to face pressure from authorities.
