September 30, 2024 - IRAN. The two men publicly executed on September 30 identified as Reza Rashno Sadeghi and Haji Kaboudvand.
According to a report received by Hengaw on October 3, the two individuals who were publicly executed on Monday, September 30, 2024, on October 3 have been confirmed as Reza Rashno Sadeghi, 37, a father of three from Andimeshk, Khuzestan Province, and Haji Kaboudvand, a father of five from Borujerd, Lorestan Province.
Sources disclosed that prior to the execution, Reza Rashno Sadeghi had also been subjected to 800 lashes as part of his sentence.
Notably, the executions were carried out without informing the families or allowing them a final visit. After the executions, the families were contacted and instructed to come to the prison to collect the bodies.
The two individuals were arrested on January 31, 2021, along with four others, in the provinces of Khuzestan, Lorestan, and Markazi. They were sentenced to public execution on charges of “participation in waging war against God (moharebeh) through shooting and disrupting public safety” and for the murder of a police officer, Second Lieutenant Morteza Barati.
