Unidentified Afghan citizen executed in Taybad Prison on September 20. At least 75 prisoners have been executed on drug-related charges in Iranian prisons in 2021.
According to HRANA news agency, an Afghan man was executed on drug-related charges in Taybad Prison on September 20. His identity has not been established but he is reportedly married man from Herat, Afghanistan and had been in prison for three years.
At the time of writing, the execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
