Nineveh Criminal Court has sentenced an ISIS affiliated terrorist to death on accusations of targeting security forces by planting explosive devices in al-Hamdaniya district.
Spokesman for the Supreme Judiciary Council Abdel Sattar Bayraktar said that the court's judges sentenced the terrorist to death after admitting of killing 16 civilians, held by ISIS in the Mosul General Hospital, in addition to planting 250 Improvised explosive devices (IED) in Bartella area located in al-Hamdaniya district.
Bayraktar pointed out that the terrorist had participated in several criminal acts committed by ISIS against civilians, in addition to planting explosive charges on the sides of roads in the district of al-Hamdaniya.
He added that the terrorist killed several security members through detonating these bombs.
Bayraktar noted the terrorist stood trial in accordance with Article 4 of Iraqi terrorism law.
