“Our confidence in the Government depends on their commitment to take the proposed Universal Moratorium on Capital Punishment to the UN,” Sergio D'Elia, the radical Rosa nel Pugno MP, stated today in the House debate on the vote of confidence.“The moratorium wouldn't only be a success for the government, but for the Parliament as well. On this issue, there has always been an extraordinary consensus between the Government and the opposition.”
“Consensus between the Government and the opposition on these crucial questions is always an objective. However, it becomes an even more important goal to achieve in foreign policy and in defence, where the Government isn't only representing itself to the world, it is representing all of Italy.”
